Games and Sports
Atal Utkrisht Government Inter College Deenapani, Almora gives stress on sports and games, believing firmly that through this medium a child can imbibe the basic human qualities of fair play, sportsmanship, a spirit of competition and qualities of leadership. There are regular and ample time for sports. The School has large playground and provides off facilities for sports and games such as Cricket, Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton, Hand ball, Table-tennis etc.
Educational Tours and Excursions
Adventurous activities are a part of school curriculum. Students are sent for educational and recreational excursions, picnics, museums, art galleries etc. Sometimes they go for trekking, hiking, rock climbing and mountaineering too.
Parent - Teacher Interaction
Along with the teaching community, education is a combined endeavor of parents and society. The institution has succeeded in developing an active organization of the parents. The executive of the parents teachers association takes keen interest in the welfare of the school and has organized some very good programs for the orientation of parental attitudes towards their children and the educational advancement of the school. Parent-teacher meetings are held on the fourth Saturday of every month where parents can meet the subject teachers, class teacher and know the progress of their wards, if necessary they may discuss the individual problems of their children and put forward their valuable suggestions.
Extra Curricular Activities
The school will introduce all possible types of extra curricular activities considering the geography of the location. Students will be allowed to do gardening, cooking, painting and will be taught Music and Dance. Students will be allowed to participate in social service very frequently. This includes Primary Health and Hygiene, Literacy and Social Awareness regarding chewing tobacco, alcohol etc. Also, students will be trained in maintaining Orchards, Rooms, Household things, Courtyards, and several other areas of personal interference.
